Spam Policy

Offer2Go is a "permission" based email service. It is required that our customers send bulk email campaigns only to those recipients who have given permission to receive such emails from the customer. This permission should be on an "Opt-In" basis - where the recipient has "Opted-in" to receive such emails. Preferably, we would prefer that our customers use a "Double Opt-in" process - where the recipients have to reconfirm their desire to receive information.

We require that all emails sent by our customers include instructions for recipients to remove their email addresses from the mailing list from which the message was sent.

Offer2Go educates its customers to comply with the following policies:

  • Seek permission to communicate with customers.
  • Use the Double opt-in or at least the single opt-in subscription process when creating customer lists.
  • Include an unsubscribe link in all campaigned email transmissions.
  • Immediately honour all unsubscribe requests from the customer list.
  • Publish a Privacy Policy relating to the use if information gathered from your email list.
  • Don't ever buy an email list.
  • Don't pre-check email subscription sign-up boxes.
  • Don't mislead recipients with false "from" names , misleading subject lines or deceptive offers.
  • Don't email illicit or illegal activities.

What is Spam?

Spam is defined as unsolicited commercial email, or an email sent to a recipient who would not have a reasonable expectation of receiving email from the sender.

Unsolicited Commercial email (UCE) has become one of the most annoying and talked about issues of the Internet today. Offer2Go takes the problem of spam very seriously, and will not allow its services to be used for the sending of spam. Our conditions of Use agreement, which each customer must agree to, does not allow customer to send spam, and includes penalties for such activity. Customers who use the Offer2Go service to send spam will have their accounts terminated.
